The universe wants to play with you (part 27)

TRANSCRIPT

Location: A suite of rooms underground in Wellington.

Attendance: Sir Ray Bergquist, chair, New Zealand Intelligence and Security Forum;

Roland Auger, Human Liaison representative for the New Zealand  National Dwarf Association;

Olwen Rees, Secretary, Dwarf Liberation Movement.

'Hello Roland, Olwen, good to see you both again.'

'Good afternoon, Ray, What can we do for you?’

‘Grunt.’

'Actually, I was hoping for some advice and maybe a bit of help. I want you to look at these three documents and then watch this video footage. I'll go and make a drink for us all and you can give me your thoughts. By the way, did I mention in the call that I’ve been asked to update our agreements, increase your grants and give you some more new technology and vehicles?'

'No, but that sounds good.'

‘What a happy coincidence.’

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

O - Ray, I hope you know this is really serious.

Ro - Something has happened that shouldn't. No one should be falling through space and time like that. What happened to the woman in Wellington is different. I don't think the two things are connected at all. In other words, what happened to her was deliberate. The people who've disappeared are just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

O - What you need to do is find out why this is happening. Forget about the women in cat suits, that's a sideshow. Something you humans have done has probably caused all this.

R - That's not very helpful. Are there any places where this is more likely to happen than others.

O – Tough. You asked for my opinion and that’s what you get. It’s impossible to say.  There are permanent gateways if you know where to look and how to open them but’s that not what’s happening with the missing people. As Roland said, what happened here was different. Whoever opened the gateway in the video would have spent years training to be able to do things like that. Whoever it was is probably mentally and physically exhausted now and those girls didn’t expect to find anyone in the room, you can tell.

Ro – Look Ray, we know how to manipulate time and space, you can’t do it by accident. Sometimes the universe just plays games. Think of it as an interdimensional version of an earthquake. It’s just one of those things that happen.

O – It’s very rare to say the least. I only know of it happening twice before, while Tesla was doing his experiments and when the first atomic bomb was tested. That’s what makes me think something in particular has caused this.

R – So you’re saying nothing can be done unless we can find out if some mad scientist is messing with something.

Ro – Yes, that’s about it.

O - Do you believe there's more than what science can tell us about the world or are you an old fashioned human materialist who ignores what's happening around them.

R - Olwen, I'm 63, I've spent my entire working life in and around intelligence circles, including the CIA; they were investigating things like this 50 years ago. I know.

O - Well, in that case you should be very worried.

R - We have a list of around a dozen gateways into other dimensions. Some are more reliable and accessible than others; For example, the best is in Fjordland but it's hard to get to. There's only 2 in the North Island, neither in a city, the rest are in the South, including one in Dunedin.

R - So that could be what those women used?

O - No, I’ve already told you that's different. Open your ears.

R - Ok, so what can I do? I've got a headless body on my hands and I want to catch who did it, stop it happening again and stop people falling through space, time and anything else.

Olwen burst out laughing, while Roland just looked embarrassed.

O - You can't stop it. It'll stop when it wants to, if it wants to. Ever.

Ro - If it makes you feel better, we'll get Dunedin NDA to keep a watch on the gateway there and see if there's any activity. Apart from that, there's nothing we can do.'

Things fall from the sky, people fall from the sky, people go up into the sky, so does all kinds of other shit but the cloth eared humans still think what goes up, must come down. Panic sets in if anything doesn't fit into their theories; it means what happened didn't happen, it was a mass hallucination, a weather balloon, a hoax, an elephant in the sitting room. Their minds imprison them. Where's William Blake when you need him? He was a human with vision.

Olwen sat down to wait for Roland to bring the car round. She was pissed off as always after these meetings. Bergquist was as bad as Gunnarson and before her, Warton. Always the same, we need your help, we really will do things better for you from now on. Never do. Just bullshit. Don’t understand why they’re believed. Even Roland grovels when he’s in front of them, they’re not on our side. Why should we clean up their mess and then go back to live in our bunkers. So much for equality.

Thousands of years and they’ve only just noticed there’s more than one world. ‘Pleeease tell us what’s happening.’ Use your eyes and brain, dick wad.
